Bolu ili b\u00fcnyesinde yer alan nahiyelerin i\u00e7erisinde \u00c7aycuma en b\u00fcy\u00fck ve d\u00fczenli olan\u0131d\u0131r, (t\u0131pk\u0131 bug\u00fcnk\u00fc gibi) nahiyenin de 31 k\u00f6y\u00fc vard\u0131r. 11 bin 600 M\u00fcsl\u00fcman, 370 Rum, 34 Ermeni olmak \u00fczere toplam n\u00fcfus yekunu 12 bin 4 ki\u015fidir. Nahiye merkezi \u00c7aycuma \u00e7ok muntazam bir \u00e7ar\u015f\u0131ya sahip olup 2 adet cami, 1 adet medrese, 3 adet s\u0131n\u0131fl\u0131 ilkokul, 1 adet Kilise, 1 adet Rum \u0130ptidai Mektebi, han ve hamam gibi ihtiya\u00e7 gerektiren yap\u0131lara sahip olmas\u0131 sebebiyle baz\u0131 kaza merkezlerinden bile daha geli\u015fmi\u015f durumda idi.
