Cumhuriyet tarihi boyunca, hem devlet hem toplum taraf\u0131ndan maruz kald\u0131klar\u0131 asimilasyon politikalar\u0131 ve uygulamalar\u0131, \u00fcretilen ayr\u0131mc\u0131 pratik ve s\u00f6ylemler M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan toplumlar\u0131n n\u00fcfuslar\u0131n\u0131n olduk\u00e7a azalmas\u0131na sebep oldu. 2002 y\u0131l\u0131nda Adalet ve Kalk\u0131nma Partisi (AKP) iktidara geldi\u011finde, kurulan yeni h\u00fck\u00fcmet uluslararas\u0131 insan haklar\u0131 s\u00f6ylemine ba\u011fl\u0131 kalaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 taahh\u00fct etmi\u015f ve M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan topluluklar\u0131 da ilgilendiren birka\u00e7 reform paketinin meclisten ge\u00e7mesinisa\u011flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ancak, bu politikalar M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan toplumlar\u0131 i\u00e7ine alan bir yakla\u015f\u0131m konusunda umut yaratm\u0131\u015f olsa da son y\u0131llarda artan otoriter e\u011filimler nedeniyle e\u015fit vatanda\u015fl\u0131\u011fa dair umutlar ertelenmek durumunda kald\u0131. Yakla\u015f\u0131k son 10 y\u0131ld\u0131r, bir yandan h\u00fck\u00fcmetin toplumun S\u00fcnni-M\u00fcsl\u00fcman karakterine yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 vurgu ve kamusal ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel alanda sek\u00fclerlik kar\u015f\u0131t\u0131 uygulamalar yo\u011funla\u015ft\u0131.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bununla beraber yine ayn\u0131 d\u00f6nemde T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan bireylerin gerek kendi aralar\u0131nda gerekse de farkl\u0131 mezheplerden M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlarla yapt\u0131klar\u0131 karma evliliklerde bir art\u0131\u015f g\u00f6zlemlemek m\u00fcmk\u00fcn. Bu ironik durum, bizi 2020 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131nlanan K\u0131smet Tabii adl\u0131 kitab\u0131m\u0131zda, \u00f6zel alana ve etno-k\u00fclt\u00fcrel s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 tekrardan yap\u0131land\u0131ran bu evliliklere odaklanmaya y\u00f6nlendirdi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc karma evlilikler, bize T\u00fcrkiye toplumunda sosyo-politik, k\u00fclt\u00fcrel ve toplumsal cinsiyet yap\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n yap\u0131s\u00f6k\u00fcm\u00fcne u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00f6rnekleri g\u00f6zlemlememiz i\u00e7in bir zemin ve f\u0131rsat yarat\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>Karma evliliklerdeki art\u0131\u015f, \u00e7o\u011funlukla M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan topluluklar\u0131n tecr\u00fcbe etti\u011fi \u00f6l\u00fcm oranlar\u0131n\u0131n art\u0131\u015f\u0131, do\u011fum oranlar\u0131n\u0131n d\u00fc\u015f\u00fc\u015f\u00fc, n\u00fcfusun ya\u015flanmas\u0131 ve g\u00f6\u00e7 gibi demografik de\u011fi\u015fimlerden kaynaklan\u0131yor. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ya\u015fayan M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan n\u00fcfus azald\u0131k\u00e7a bu toplumlar\u0131n bir arada ya\u015fama pratiklerini devam ettirmeleri olanaks\u0131z hale geliyor. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc bu topluluklara mensup bireyler, bundan yakla\u015f\u0131k 15 y\u0131l \u00f6ncesine kadar kent co\u011frafyas\u0131nda geleneksel olarak bir arada ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131 \u201caz\u0131nl\u0131k mahalleleri\u201dni terk edip \u015fehrin yeni olu\u015fan ya\u015fam alanlar\u0131na da\u011f\u0131l\u0131yorlar.<\/p>\n<p>Yak\u0131n zamanda yay\u0131nlanan bir ara\u015ft\u0131rmaya g\u00f6re, karma evlilikler bu geleneksel etnik k\u00fcmelenmeleri zay\u0131flatarak bu toplumlar\u0131n mekansal da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 da h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131yor. Bu nedenlere ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak az\u0131nl\u0131klar\u0131n evlilik havuzu daral\u0131yor ve kendi cemaatinden bir e\u015f bulma ihtimali azal\u0131yor. Bununla beraber, gen\u00e7 neslin daha prestijli i\u015f pozisyonlar\u0131na sahip olmas\u0131n\u0131 ve daha y\u00fcksek refah seviyelerine ula\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan e\u011fitim seviyesindeki art\u0131\u015f ve artan sosyal mobilite fakt\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fc de dikkate almak gerekiyor. Bu durum, gen\u00e7lerin kendi dini-etnik gruplar\u0131 d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan insanlarla tan\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n yolunu a\u00e7arak farkl\u0131 dini gruptan gelen insanlarla tan\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ihtimalini art\u0131r\u0131yor. Son olarak, ya\u015fanan toplumsal de\u011fi\u015fimlere paralel olarak, dinin ya\u015fanma \u015feklinin de\u011fi\u015fmesi, T\u00fcrkiyeli gen\u00e7 gayrim\u00fcslimlerin dini inan\u00e7lar\u0131n\u0131 kurumlara ba\u011fl\u0131 olmadan bireysel olarak ya\u015famay\u0131 tercih etmelerine ve daha sek\u00fcler, kentli ve modern ya\u015fam bi\u00e7imlerini benimsemelerine yol a\u00e7\u0131yor. B\u00f6ylelikle geni\u015f topluma ebeveynlerinin neslinden daha entegre bir profil \u00e7iziyorlar.<\/p>\n<p>Karma evlilik oranlar\u0131ndaki art\u0131\u015f, az\u0131nl\u0131k toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n sosyo-demografik yap\u0131lar\u0131nda bu d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc de\u011fi\u015fimler ya\u015fan\u0131rken, M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan toplumlar aras\u0131nda karma evliliklere herhangi bir diren\u00e7 g\u00f6sterilmedi\u011fi anlam\u0131na gelmiyor. Ebeveynlerin karma evliliklere \u00e7e\u015fitli nedenlerle kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6zlemliyoruz: Toplum bask\u0131s\u0131, \u201c\u00f6teki\u201dni tan\u0131mama, bilmeme kayg\u0131s\u0131, toplumun nicel olarak azalmas\u0131ndan dolay\u0131 olu\u015fan korkular ve etno-dinsel kimli\u011fin asimilasyonu.<\/p>\n<p>Unutmamak gerekir ki, son 100 y\u0131ld\u0131r T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan n\u00fcfus say\u0131s\u0131 gittik\u00e7e azal\u0131yor ve bu durum onlar\u0131 geni\u015f toplumla aras\u0131na g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc s\u0131n\u0131rlar \u00e7izerek kapal\u0131 hayatlar ya\u015famalar\u0131n\u0131 beraberinde getiriyor. Az\u0131nl\u0131k kar\u015f\u0131t\u0131 devlet politikalar\u0131n\u0131 da g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcne ald\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131zda, M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olmayan vatanda\u015flar devlete ve topluma kar\u015f\u0131 g\u00fcvensiz, korku dolu ve rezervli bir tutum benimsemek durumunda b\u0131rak\u0131ld\u0131. \u00d6zellikle 60 ya\u015f ve \u00fczeri gayrim\u00fcslim vatanda\u015flar\u0131n tecr\u00fcbe etti\u011fi ayr\u0131mc\u0131 pratik ve e\u015fitsizlikler, ailelerin ve toplumlar\u0131n haf\u0131zalar\u0131na k\u00fclt\u00fcrel travmatik an\u0131lar olarak kaz\u0131nm\u0131\u015f durumda. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla, son 10-15 y\u0131la kadar kendi toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan bireylerle yap\u0131lan evlilikler, az\u0131nl\u0131k toplumlar\u0131n\u0131n bir kesimi taraf\u0131ndan ihanet olarak kabul g\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015f ve bu t\u00fcr evlilikler \u00f6zel alan\u0131n k\u0131rm\u0131z\u0131 \u00e7izgisini olu\u015fturarak tabula\u015fm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Bu mevzu s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funda ak\u0131llara gelen ilk ve en \u00f6nemli soru karma evliliklerin, gayrim\u00fcslimlerin T\u00fcrk toplumuna asimilasyonunu h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131p h\u0131zland\u0131rmad\u0131\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. \u0130leri ya\u015flardaki gayrim\u00fcslim bireylerin deneyimlemek zorunda b\u0131rak\u0131ld\u0131klar\u0131 olumsuz vatanda\u015fl\u0131k pratikleri dikkate al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, karma evliliklerin asimilasyonun \u00f6n\u00fcn\u00fc a\u00e7t\u0131\u011f\u0131 iddias\u0131n\u0131n ge\u00e7erlili\u011fini g\u00f6rmek de m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr; o kadar ki, gayrim\u00fcslimler aras\u0131nda karma evlili\u011fe itiraz\u0131n arkas\u0131ndaki temel alg\u0131y\u0131 bu olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r. Gayrim\u00fcslimlerin Cumhuriyetin kurulu\u015fundan bu yana asimilasyoncu ve ayr\u0131mc\u0131 politikalara maruz kald\u0131klar\u0131 olgusal bir ger\u00e7ektir. Ancak yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z bu ara\u015ft\u0131rma, karma evliliklerin asimilasyonun arkas\u0131ndaki ana itici g\u00fc\u00e7 oldu\u011funu iddia etmenin o kadar da kolay olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6steriyor.<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmam\u0131z, karma evliliklerin, asimilasyona neden olmaktan \u00e7ok, geni\u015f topluma asimilasyondan\/entegrasyondan kaynaklanan demografik ve sosyo-mekansal de\u011fi\u015fikliklerin bir yans\u0131mas\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6sterir. 2000 y\u0131l\u0131ndan sonra ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen karma evlilikleri inceledi\u011fimizde, evlilikbirlikteli\u011findeki gayrim\u00fcslim bireyin genellikle kendi k\u00f6k dini veya k\u00fclt\u00fcrel rit\u00fcellerini uygulamaya niyetli\/meyilli oldu\u011funu g\u00f6zlemledik. Gayrim\u00fcslimlerin, demografik a\u00e7\u0131dan giderek erimeleri ve asimilasyon tedirginli\u011fi nedeniyle varolu\u015fsal bir krizle kar\u015f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131ya olmalar\u0131na ra\u011fmen, evliliklerinden veya ili\u015fkilerinden \u00f6nce kendilerini daha az dindar, deist veya ateist olarak tan\u0131mlayan gayrim\u00fcslimlerin k\u00fclt\u00fcrel k\u00f6kenlerine ve etnik k\u00f6kenlerine daha fazla sahip \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 tespit ettik. Ayr\u0131ca, karma evliliklerdeki M\u00fcsl\u00fcman e\u015fin, kar\u015f\u0131 taraf\u0131n dini ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel rit\u00fcellerini memnuniyetle kar\u015f\u0131lamaya meyilli oldu\u011funu, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc bu gelenek-g\u00f6renekleri ve rit\u00fcelleri bir t\u00fcr sosyal prestij olarak sahiplendiklerini ve bu de\u011ferleri \u00e7ocuklar\u0131na aktarmak i\u00e7in e\u015fleriyle birlikte ortak hareket ettiklerini tespit ettik. M\u00fcsl\u00fcman partnerin gayrim\u00fcslim partnere ait etno-k\u00fclt\u00fcrel miras\u0131n\u0131 koruma \u00e7abalar\u0131, karma evliliklerin genellikle gayrim\u00fcslim taraf\u0131n dini veya k\u00fclt\u00fcrel kimli\u011fini korumaya yard\u0131mc\u0131 oldu\u011funu da g\u00f6stermesi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00f6nemli. Karma evlilikler, gayrim\u00fcslim topluluklar i\u00e7in hayati \u00f6nem te\u015fkil eden asimilasyon ger\u00e7e\u011fini engellemese de bu s\u00fcreci h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p>Bu t\u00fcr evliliklerde etno-k\u00fclt\u00fcrel rit\u00fcelleri s\u00fcrd\u00fcrmek her zaman kolay bir i\u015f de\u011fil. Din de\u011fi\u015ftirme konusu genellikle karma evlilik ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmeden \u00f6nce veya s\u0131ras\u0131nda g\u00fcndeme geldi\u011finden bu tip evliliklerdeki ana m\u00fczakere alan\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7iftlerin (gelecekteki) \u00e7ocuklar\u0131yla ilgili konu ba\u015fl\u0131klar\u0131 -\u00f6rne\u011fin, \u00e7ok yak\u0131n zamana kadar kimliklerde belirtilen din hanesi, evde \u00e7ocu\u011fa aktar\u0131lacak etno-dinsel kimlik ya da \u00e7ocuklar\u0131n vaftiz\/s\u00fcnnet edilip edilmeyece\u011fi veya bir sinagoga kaydedilip edilmeyece\u011fi gibi- olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r.
