Lara\u2019ya g\u00f6re edebiyat ve hik\u00e2ye anlat\u0131m\u0131; tarihsel, siyasal ve hukuki kavramlar\u0131n genelden \u00f6zele y\u00f6nelen yakla\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n tam tersini ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirir. Yani bir anlamda, t\u00fcmdengelim yerine t\u00fcmevar\u0131m\u0131 kullan\u0131r. \u00d6zelden genele, bireyselden toplumsala ilerler. Lara insan ac\u0131mas\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131yla ilgili eylemleri, \u201cahlaki yanl\u0131\u015flar\u201d olarak de\u011ferlendirir. Ahlaki yanl\u0131\u015flar, basit\u00e7e adaletsizlik olarak a\u00e7\u0131klanamayacak eylemlerden kaynaklan\u0131r. A\u011fza al\u0131namaz olan, sadece kavramlarla betimlemekte zorlanaca\u011f\u0131m\u0131z bir insan deneyiminin alan\u0131d\u0131r. Kavramlarla bunu betimlemeye giri\u015fti\u011fimizde bo\u015fluk ya da \u00e7eli\u015fkilerle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131r\u0131z. Oysa hik\u00e2yeler ya\u015famlar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n hemen g\u00f6ze g\u00f6r\u00fcnmeyen y\u00f6nlerini ortaya \u00e7\u0131karan eylemleri betimlerler. Bilindi\u011fi gibi, \u00f6rnekler arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla anlamak daha kolayd\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Zul\u00fcm ve \u0131st\u0131rap sadece kavramlarla a\u00e7\u0131klanamaz. Bunun \u00f6tesinde, failin rol\u00fcn\u00fc anlamak i\u00e7in niyetine odaklanmam\u0131z da gerekmez. Ancak buna ba\u015flamadan \u00f6nce, i\u015fin kuramsal tart\u0131\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 belirli bir noktaya ula\u015ft\u0131rmak laz\u0131m. Oysa bu anlay\u0131\u015fa ihtiyac\u0131m\u0131z var.<\/p>\n<p>Lara, kitab\u0131n\u0131n 79 ve 80. sayfalar\u0131nda bu anlama zorunlulu\u011funu \u015f\u00f6yle tart\u0131\u015f\u0131yor: K\u00f6t\u00fcn\u00fcn bizde yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u015foka kar\u015f\u0131 verece\u011fimiz ilk insani tepki onu anlamak olacakt\u0131r. Agop, 1970\u2019te Boyabat\u2019\u0131n Avlo\u011fu\u00e7 k\u00f6y\u00fcnden Hollanda\u2019ya i\u015f\u00e7i olarak gitmi\u015f. 1975 civar\u0131, Almanya\u2019daki a\u011fabeyi Artin ve aileleriyle birlikte k\u00f6ylerini, oradaki ana babalar\u0131n\u0131 ziyarete gitmi\u015fler. Agop \u00f6nce i\u015f g\u00f6remez hale gelip i\u015finden ayr\u0131lacak, dilini do\u011fru d\u00fcr\u00fcst bilmedi\u011fi Hollandal\u0131 bir terapistin yard\u0131m\u0131 ve ila\u00e7 tedavisiyle kendisine gelmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015facakt\u0131r. Agop\u2019un kilitlenmesine yol a\u00e7an nokta, kendisine yak\u0131\u015ft\u0131ramad\u0131\u011f\u0131 intikam duygular\u0131 ile g\u00fcnahs\u0131z babas\u0131na yap\u0131lan bu eziyetin nedenlerini bir t\u00fcrl\u00fc tam olarak anlayamamaktan kaynaklan\u0131r. Agop \u201cbunu babama neden yapt\u0131lar, nas\u0131l yapabildiler?\u201d diye sorarken, asl\u0131nda t\u00fcm ailesine daha \u00f6nce yap\u0131lan t\u00fcm k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fckleri tespih taneleri gibi ipe dizmektedir. B\u00fct\u00fcn metin boyunca, Agop\u2019un ve yak\u0131nlar\u0131n\u0131n anlat\u0131mlar\u0131n\u0131 dinlerken say\u0131s\u0131z k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fckle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131r\u0131z. Agop\u2019un ilk konu\u015ftu\u011fu fail, gen\u00e7 adamdan korktu\u011fu i\u00e7in de\u011fil, \u201cneden?\u201d sorusuyla ilk defa kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in allak bullak olmaktad\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc o ana kadar k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc yapanlar da buna maruz kalanlar da neden diye sormam\u0131\u015flard\u0131r. 1915\u2019ten bu yana uygun r\u00fczg\u00e2r esmi\u015f ve k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fck bir orman yang\u0131n\u0131 gibi y\u00fcr\u00fcm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Agop ve a\u011fabeyi yurt d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda kol emekleriyle kazand\u0131klar\u0131 parayla \u0130stanbul\u2019da bir apartman yapt\u0131r\u0131rlar. Tam di\u015flerinden t\u0131rnaklar\u0131ndan artt\u0131rarak, fazla mesailere kalarak biriktirdikleri parayla ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan bu apartmandaki daireleri satacaklarken, 12 Eyl\u00fcl 1980 fa\u015fist darbecilerinin \u00fclkenin tepesine \u00e7\u00f6reklendikleri d\u00f6nemde, bir kanunla gayrim\u00fcslimlerin m\u00fclk al\u0131p satmalar\u0131 yasaklan\u0131r.
