Siz diziyi nas\u0131l buldunuz? Toplumsal alanda olumlu bir yans\u0131mas\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6zlemlediniz mi?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayhan Aktar:\u00a0<\/strong>Ben diziyi \u00e7ok be\u011fendim. Bas\u0131ndan \u00f6\u011frendi\u011fim kadar\u0131yla,\u00a0<em>Netflix<\/em>\u2018in d\u00fcnya klasman\u0131nda da en \u00e7ok seyredilen on dizisi i\u00e7ine girmi\u015f. Bu tip diziler akademisyenlerde biraz moral bozuklu\u011fu yarat\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc y\u0131llarca u\u011fra\u015f\u0131r ara\u015ft\u0131rma yapar, kitap yazars\u0131n\u0131z, on bin ki\u015fi kitab\u0131n\u0131z\u0131 okursa bu bir rekor say\u0131l\u0131r ve mutlu olursunuz. Fakat yetenekli bir y\u00f6netmen akademisyenlerin bilgi birikiminden ve kitaplar\u0131ndan faydalanarak bir dizi \u00e7eker, pop\u00fcler bir mecrada g\u00f6sterilir. Diziyi milyonlarca insan seyreder ve \u201c<em>Vay be, yak\u0131n tarihimizde neler olmu\u015f?<\/em>\u201d derler. \u0130\u00e7inizden \u201c<em>Yahu, biz bunlar\u0131 y\u0131llar \u00f6nce yazm\u0131\u015ft\u0131k<\/em>\u201d demek gelir. Ama g\u00f6rsel sanat\u0131n g\u00fcc\u00fcn\u00fc teslim etmek ve bunun yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bilin\u00e7 s\u0131\u00e7ramas\u0131n\u0131n keyfini \u00e7\u0131karmak gerekir. Kabul edelim, sinema sanat\u0131 ortalama vatanda\u015fa \u00e7ok \u015fey anlatma g\u00fcc\u00fcne sahip. \u0130nsanlar evlerinde otururken bir \u015feyler \u00f6\u011frenir ve \u015fa\u015f\u0131r\u0131rlar.<\/p>\n<p>Tabii bu noktada \u201c\u015fa\u015f\u0131rma\u201d hali \u00fczerinde biraz d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmek l\u00e2z\u0131m. Ne yaz\u0131k ki, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin yak\u0131n ge\u00e7mi\u015finde \u00e7ok-dinli, \u00e7ok-k\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fc ve kozmopolit bir yap\u0131ya sahip oldu\u011funu ilk kez Netflix dizisinden \u00f6\u011frenen vatanda\u015flar\u0131m\u0131z var. Bu da \u201cT\u00fcrkle\u015ftirme politikalar\u0131\u201d olarak isimlendirdi\u011fim uygulamalar\u0131n ne kadar ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor. T\u00fcrkle\u015ftirme politikalar\u0131 derken \u015funlar\u0131 kast ediyorum: sokakta konu\u015fulan dilden okullarda \u00f6\u011fretilecek tarihe, e\u011fitimden sanayi hayat\u0131na, ticaretten devlet personel rejimine, \u00f6zel hukuktan vatanda\u015flar\u0131n belli y\u00f6relerde isk\u00e2n edilmelerine kadar toplumsal hayat\u0131n her boyutunda T\u00fcrk etnik kimli\u011finin her d\u00fczeyde ve tavizsiz bir bi\u00e7imde egemenli\u011fini ve a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 koymas\u0131d\u0131r. Sevan Ni\u015fanyan\u2019\u0131n hesaplamalar\u0131na g\u00f6re T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki yerle\u015fimlerin \u00fc\u00e7te birinin, yani 15.047 yerle\u015fim biriminin ismi de\u011fi\u015ftirilmi\u015ftir. Ne kadar \u201cyerli ve milli\u201d bir durum de\u011fil mi? Veya \u201cyerli ve milli\u201d olma tarihimiz asl\u0131nda ne kadar eski de\u011fil mi?<\/p>\n<p>\u015eimdi bu yalan d\u00fcnyada do\u011fup b\u00fcy\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f vatanda\u015flar\u0131m\u0131z\u00a0<em>Kul\u00fcp<\/em>\u00a0dizisini seyrediyorlar ve birdenbire \u015fa\u015f\u0131r\u0131p ayd\u0131nlanarak birbirlerine\u00a0<em>\u201cYahu, biliyor musun T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de Yahudiler varm\u0131\u015f!\u201d<\/em>\u00a0diyorlar. Veya\u00a0<em>\u201cT\u00fcrkiye\u2019de Yahudiler kendi aralar\u0131nda Ladino diye bir dil konu\u015furmu\u015f, hatta bu dilde g\u00fczel \u015fark\u0131lar\u0131 bile varm\u0131\u015f\u201d<\/em>\u00a0diyorlar. Tabii b\u00fct\u00fcn bunlar asl\u0131nda hay\u0131rl\u0131 geli\u015fmeler. Merkezi otoritenin son y\u00fczy\u0131lda ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirdi\u011fi \u201chaf\u0131za silme\u201d veya zihinlere \u201cKemalist format atma\u201d operasyonlar\u0131 uzun s\u00fcredir \u00e7at\u0131rd\u0131yor. Bunlar\u0131n yerine AKP\u2019nin oturtmak istedi\u011fi \u201cyerli ve milli\u201d haf\u0131za kal\u0131plar\u0131 eskisinden daha da sakil duruyor. Hat\u0131rlay\u0131n,\u00a0<em>Payitaht Abd\u00fclhamit<\/em>dizisinde mahalle kabaday\u0131s\u0131 gibi gezinen ve ara s\u0131ra \u0130ngiliz el\u00e7isini tokatlayan bir II. Yani 1914 rakamlar\u0131na g\u00f6re n\u00fcfusun yakla\u015f\u0131k \u00fc\u00e7te biri gayrim\u00fcslimlerden olu\u015fuyordu. B\u00f6ylesine \u00e7ok-dinli ve \u00e7ok-k\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fc bir ge\u00e7mi\u015ften gelen insanlar g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde \u0130stanbullu Yahudi g\u00f6r\u00fcnce pek \u015fa\u015f\u0131r\u0131yorlar. Bu kesim \u00fczerinde\u00a0<em>Kul\u00fcp<\/em>\u00a0dizisinin etkisi b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fcr ve bence \u00f6nemlidir.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Varl\u0131k Vergisi ve T\u00fcrkle\u015ftirme Politikalar\u0131<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u2019n\u0131 yazmaya sizi y\u00f6nelten ne olmu\u015ftu, Varl\u0131k Vergisi\u2019yle ilgilenmeye nas\u0131l ba\u015flad\u0131n\u0131z?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doktora derecesini ald\u0131ktan sonra, kendime bir \u201caktif tatil\u201d zaman\u0131 vermi\u015ftim. \u0130ki y\u0131l sadece roman ve an\u0131 okudum. 1991 yaz\u0131nda tatildeyken \u0130stanbul Defterdar\u0131 Faik \u00d6kte\u2019nin\u00a0<em>Varl\u0131k Vergisi Facias\u0131<\/em>\u00a0isimli an\u0131lar\u0131 okudum ve bu konuda bir monografi yazmaya karar verdim. Gayrim\u00fcslimlere kar\u015f\u0131 kullan\u0131lan nefret s\u00f6ylemi midemi buland\u0131rm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. 1992\u2019de, \u0130spanya engizisyonundan ka\u00e7an Yahudilerin T\u00fcrkiye\u2019ye geli\u015finin 500. y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131 kutlamak amac\u0131yla\u00a0<em>500. Y\u0131l\u00a0<\/em>isimli bir vak\u0131f kurulmu\u015ftu. Vak\u0131f b\u00fcy\u00fck bir akademik toplant\u0131 organize etmi\u015fti. Toplant\u0131da Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nden hocam Prof. Heath Lowry beni Prof. Bernard Lewis ve Prof. Stanford Shaw\u2019la tan\u0131\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131.\u00a0<em>\u201cAyhan benim eski \u00f6\u011frencimdir. Peki, sava\u015f d\u0131\u015f\u0131 kalmak m\u00fcmk\u00fcn de\u011fil miydi?
