Odyan, akla ilk gelen eseri Pan\u00e7uni hakk\u0131nda, karakter her ne kadar ger\u00e7ek bir ki\u015fi olmasa da, kendi deyimiyle \u201cdevrimci tiplerin yo\u011funla\u015fm\u0131\u015f genel ifadesi\u201dydi\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serdar Korucu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yervant Odyan, 19 Eyl\u00fcl 1869\u2019da \u0130stanbul\u2019da do\u011fdu. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de daha \u00e7ok\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni<\/em>\u00a0ve\u00a0<em>Abd\u00fclhamid ve Sherlock Holmes<\/em>\u00a0kitaplar\u0131 ile tan\u0131nan Odyan, Ermeni edebiyat\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nde gelen kalemlerinden biri olmas\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra soyk\u0131r\u0131mdan \u015fans eseri kurtulmu\u015f, \u201cAziz Nuri\u201d ad\u0131yla M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanla\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>T\u00fcrk\u00e7e okur i\u00e7in Yervant Odyan denilince belki de akla ilk gelen eser\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni.<\/em>\u00a0Bunun nedeni Ermenice yap\u0131tlar\u0131 aras\u0131nda T\u00fcrk\u00e7eye kazand\u0131r\u0131lan ilk eseri olmas\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclebilir. Ger\u00e7ekten de 1911, 1914 ve 1923\u2019te yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 bu \u00fc\u00e7lemenin ilk ikisi,\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni\u2019nin Dzab\u0131lvar\u2019a Yolculu\u011fu<\/em>\u00a0ve\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni Vasburagan\u2019da\u2019<\/em>n\u0131n T\u00fcrk\u00e7eye kazand\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 yakla\u015f\u0131k 90 y\u0131l\u0131 bulmu\u015f, 2000\u2019de Sirvart Malhasyan taraf\u0131ndan T\u00fcrk\u00e7eye \u00e7evrilerek Aras Yay\u0131nc\u0131l\u0131k taraf\u0131ndan yay\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Ancak \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fcs\u00fc, yani\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni S\u00fcrg\u00fcnde<\/em>\u00a0olmadan. Fakat Odyan\u2019\u0131n T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de\u00a0<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni<\/em>\u00a0eseriyle bilinmesi, \u2013ge\u00e7 ba\u015flam\u0131\u015f da olsa\u2013 bu \u00e7eviri ser\u00fcveninden kaynaklanm\u0131yor. Sadece T\u00fcrk\u00e7ede de\u011fil, bu \u00fcnl\u00fc \u00fc\u00e7leme Ermeni edebiyat\u0131nda da Odyan\u2019\u0131 hicvin ustas\u0131 haline getiren yap\u0131tlar\u0131ndan. Pan\u00e7uni\u2019nin ilk b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc yay\u0131mlad\u0131ktan sonra Yervant Odyan\u2019\u0131n kendisi de, daha \u00f6nceki eserlerine nazaran artm\u0131\u015f olan ilgiyi sarkastik bir \u015fekilde ifade edecekti:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni<\/em>\u00a0ad\u0131 bug\u00fcn belki de Bo\u011fos Nubar Pa\u015fa\u2019dan daha pop\u00fcler. Dzab\u0131lvar kahraman\u0131 hen\u00fcz zinde bir ya\u015fam s\u00fcrerken \u00f6l\u00fcms\u00fczl\u00fck halesiyle bezendi bile. \u00dcn\u00fc s\u0131n\u0131rs\u0131z ve otoritesi tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmaz.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Odyan, Pan\u00e7uni hakk\u0131nda konu\u015furken, eserinin inand\u0131r\u0131c\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 nedeniyle iki Vanl\u0131 Ermeni\u2019nin bu karakterin ger\u00e7ek olup olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131na dair iddiaya tutu\u015ftuklar\u0131n\u0131 da bir anekdot olarak ekleyecekti. Her ne kadar Pan\u00e7uni ger\u00e7ek bir ki\u015fi olmasa da yazar\u0131n\u0131n deyimiyle \u201cdevrimci tiplerin yo\u011funla\u015fm\u0131\u015f genel ifadesi\u201dydi. Bu nedenle ilgi de y\u00fcksek olacakt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018PAN\u00c7UN\u0130 BELA DE\u011e\u0130L DEVR\u0130MC\u0130 OLACAKTI\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anahide Ter Minassian\u2019\u0131n da ifade etti\u011fi gibi tarihsel bir anda \u00f6nemli roller oynayacak iki devrimci Ermeni \u00f6rg\u00fct\u00fc Kafkas ayd\u0131nlar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan, biri Cenevre\u2019de, di\u011feri Tiflis\u2019te kurulmu\u015ftu: H\u0131n\u00e7akyan ve Ta\u015fnaktsutyun\u2026 Yervant Odyan\u2019\u0131n Pan\u00e7uni\u2019si de Trabzon\u2019da do\u011fmu\u015f olsa da, \u201cErmenicenin Kafkas leh\u00e7esinde\u201d konu\u015fan, yazar\u0131n\u0131n ifadesiyle \u201cT\u00fcrkiye\u2019de do\u011fmu\u015f oldu\u011fundan, a\u015flama bir Rus Ermenisi\u201dydi. Babas\u0131 ise kitapta adeta \u201cErmeni milleti\u201d ad\u0131na o\u011fluna sert \u00e7\u0131kacak, bu ge\u00e7 \u201ckonu\u015fan\u201d ancak hi\u00e7 susmayacak o\u011fluna tepki g\u00f6sterecekti:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBabas\u0131, o\u011flunun tuhaf gidi\u015fini g\u00f6r\u00fcyor, \u00e7o\u011fu zaman di\u015flerini g\u0131c\u0131rdatarak ba\u011f\u0131r\u0131yordu: \u2018Bela olacaks\u0131n, bela\u2026\u2019 Zavall\u0131 adam iyimserli\u011finde yan\u0131l\u0131yordu. Pan\u00e7uni bela de\u011fil, devrimci olacakt\u0131.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yervant Odyan\u2019\u0131n<em>\u00a0Yolda\u015f Pan\u00e7uni<\/em>\u2018si, babas\u0131ndan kalan miras\u0131 \u201cyiyen\u201d, kendi pay\u0131n\u0131 \u0130stanbul\u2019da har vurup harman savururken zenginle\u015fen a\u011fabeyine bak\u0131nca kitaptaki ifadeyle \u201ckapitalizmin ne cehennemi bir adaletsizlik oldu\u011funu ve servetin e\u015fit da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n ne denli gerekli oldu\u011funu\u201d kavrayan ve \u201cart\u0131k sosyalist\u201d olan, a\u011fabeyinin 1895\u2019teki Trabzon\u2019daki katliamlara kadar g\u00f6nderdi\u011fi parayla Avrupa\u2019y\u0131 gezen ancak i\u015fleri bozulup para g\u00f6nderemeyince yine yazar\u0131n\u0131n ifadesiyle, \u201cdenize d\u00fc\u015fen y\u0131lana sar\u0131l\u0131r\u201d misali, \u201ca\u00e7 kalan devrimci olur\u201d \u015feklinde kendine bir ideal belirleyen bir gen\u00e7ti.<\/p>\n<p>Ermeni edebiyat\u0131nda Hagop Baronyan\u2019dan sonra hicvi ile ilk akla gelen isim olan Odyan\u2019\u0131n t\u00fcm maharetini g\u00f6stererek olu\u015fturdu\u011fu bu karakterin en \u00f6nemli \u00f6zelli\u011fi, Bat\u0131\u2019daki sosyalist hareketin kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131 dinamiklerin ge\u00e7erli olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 co\u011frafyada ya\u015famas\u0131na ra\u011fmen, bunlar \u00fczerinden d\u00fc\u015fmanlar yaratabilmesiydi. Mesela bug\u00fcn Elaz\u0131\u011f\u2019\u0131n Bahad\u0131rlar k\u00f6y\u00fc olarak bilinen Dzalb\u0131var\u2019\u0131n yard\u0131msever din adam\u0131 Der Sahak\u2019\u0131 \u201cOrta\u00e7a\u011f Cizvitli\u011finin kara ruhlu temsilcisi\u201d ya da b\u00f6lgenin \u00f6nde gelen zengini Res Serko\u2019yu \u201cpis burjuvazi\u201d s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6rne\u011fi olarak temsil etmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015facakt\u0131. Fakat asl\u0131nda bu imkans\u0131zd\u0131. Der Sahak s\u00fcrekli onunla toplum aras\u0131nda k\u00f6pr\u00fc olmaya u\u011fra\u015facak. Res Serko ise Pan\u00e7uni\u2019nin istedi\u011fi \u201cihbarc\u0131l\u0131k, hainlik ve yer gelince zorbal\u0131\u011fa ba\u015fvuran\u201d birisi olmaktan uzakta kalacakt\u0131. \u00d6yle ki kendisi \u201cmuhtar olarak k\u00f6ye polis getirilmesine kesinlikle izin vermeyece\u011fini, dahili kavgalar i\u00e7in h\u00fck\u00fcmete ba\u015fvurmaktansa \u00f6lmeyi tercih edece\u011fini\u201d s\u00f6yleyecek, \u201cHristiyan Ermeniler olarak birbirini sevmeleri gerekti\u011fini\u201d vurgulayacakt\u0131. Ancak Pan\u00e7uni i\u00e7in bu ba\u015f edilemez bir tav\u0131rd\u0131, tutumunu \u201cKap\u0131y\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131k bulsak bile \u00f6nce k\u0131r\u0131p sonra girece\u011fiz\u201d s\u00f6z\u00fc ile anlatacakt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Ermeni toplumun 20. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda kar\u015f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131ya oldu\u011fu ger\u00e7ek tehlikeler kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131ndaysa Pan\u00e7uni s\u00fcrekli geri ad\u0131m at\u0131yordu. Mesela Dzalb\u0131var\u2019a T\u00fcrk subay\u0131 gelince \u201cT\u00fcrk karde\u015flerimize tabii ki kar\u015f\u0131 koymad\u0131k\u201d diyecek ve birdenbire k\u00f6ydeki Ermeni toplumunu kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131na ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck eylemine son verme karar\u0131 verecekti. Ya da kendisini a\u011f\u0131rlayan fakat k\u00f6ylerinden \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131ktan hemen sonra soyan K\u00fcrt a\u015firetlerine sesini \u00e7\u0131karamayacak, Dzalb\u0131var\u2019\u0131n sonunu da yine b\u00f6lgedeki hassas Ermeni-K\u00fcrt dengesini bilmemesi getirecekti. Dzalb\u0131var hik\u00e2yesinde y\u0131k\u0131lan, yak\u0131lan k\u00f6y\u00fc ard\u0131nda b\u0131rak\u0131rken hi\u00e7 de su\u00e7luluk hissetmeyecekti, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc ona g\u00f6re \u201cY\u00fcce fikir sava\u015f\u0131 ilk kurbanlar\u0131n\u0131 vermi\u015f\u201dti ve \u201cKan akt\u0131 ve s\u0131n\u0131f m\u00fccadelesinin tarlalar\u0131n\u0131 sulad\u0131\u201d diyecekti. S\u0131ra Vasburagan\u2019a gelince, \u0130stanbul\u2019daki Ermeni toplumunu ta\u015fran\u0131n g\u00f6z\u00fcnde \u015feytanla\u015ft\u0131racak, ruhban s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131n\u0131 hedef alarak P\u0131\u00e7i\u00e7 k\u00f6y\u00fcndeki Surp Vartan Manast\u0131r\u0131\u2019na el koyarak onu \u201cKropotkin Manast\u0131r\u0131\u201dna d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrerek, t\u00fcm bu s\u00fcre\u00e7te ona b\u00f6lgenin ger\u00e7eklerini, yani Ermeni toplumun asl\u0131nda K\u00fcrt sald\u0131rganlara kar\u015f\u0131 harekete ge\u00e7mesi gerekti\u011fini s\u00f6yleyen, \u201cson zamanlarda Vasburagan\u2019da \u00f6ld\u00fcr\u00fclen k\u00f6yl\u00fclerin, ka\u00e7\u0131r\u0131lan Ermeni kad\u0131nlar\u0131n\u0131n ve talan edilen k\u00f6ylerin isimlerini\u201d sayan biri \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131 m\u0131, onu \u201cprovokat\u00f6r maskara\u201d olarak yaftalay\u0131p \u00fczerine yanda\u015flar\u0131n\u0131 sald\u0131rtacakt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Kendi toplumu i\u00e7inden \u00e7\u0131kan devrimci hareketleri b\u00f6ylesine sert ele\u015ftiren ancak kitab\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131na \u201cHen\u00fcz geli\u015fim s\u00fcrecini tamamlamam\u0131\u015f, dahas\u0131 i\u015flevselli\u011finin en ate\u015fli d\u00f6neminde olan bir hayat\u0131 kusursuz bir bi\u00e7imde sergilemek, hele b\u00f6yle bir hayat\u0131 yarg\u0131lamak, \u00fczerinde fikir y\u00fcr\u00fctmek, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesizlik ve c\u00fcretkarl\u0131kt\u0131r\u201d notunu da d\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015f olan Odyan\u2019\u0131n ad\u0131 T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de 2014\u2019te bir kez daha g\u00fcndeme geldi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc Everest Yay\u0131nevi\u00a0<em>Abd\u00fclhamid ve Sherlock Holmes\u2019<\/em>\u00fc basacakt\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Kitap bas\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00f6nemde T\u00fcrkiye medyas\u0131n\u0131n t\u00fcm kesimlerinin ilgisini \u00e7ekti. Sonu\u00e7ta ba\u015frolde olanlardan biri AK Parti\u2019nin belki de Osmanl\u0131 tarihi i\u00e7inde en \u00e7ok ilgi g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi padi\u015fah olan II. Abd\u00fclhamid\u2019di. Di\u011feri ise bir polisiye roman tutkunu olan II. Abd\u00fclhamid\u2019in hayran\u0131 oldu\u011fu d\u00fcnyan\u0131n en \u00fcnl\u00fc dedektifi Sherlock Holmes\u2019t\u00fc. Ve bu ikiliyi 1911\u2019de bir araya getirense, \u00fcnl\u00fc Ermeni Milleti Nizamnamesi\u2019nin yazarlar\u0131ndan Krikor Odyan\u2019\u0131n yazar ve gazeteci ye\u011feni Yervant Odyan\u2019d\u0131.
