Tarih\u00e7ilik alan\u0131 bug\u00fcn belki de en fazla bu ba\u011flamda sosyalbilimlerin genel prati\u011fine a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131yor, o d\u00fcnya i\u00e7inde \u00fcretiyor, yorum geli\u015ftiriyor. Bir yandan sosyalbilimler kendi i\u00e7inde tarihe daha fazla yakla\u015f\u0131r ve \u201ctarihsel\u201dle\u015firken, y\u0131llar \u00f6nce bir Frans\u0131z tarih\u00e7inin vurgulad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi, tarih as\u0131l belki de \u015fimdilerde sosyalbilim prati\u011finin tek \u201cm\u00fcmk\u00fcn sentezi\u201d haline geliyor. Di\u011fer yandan da tarih sadece tarih\u00e7ilerin uzmanl\u0131k alan\u0131 olmaktan giderek uzakla\u015f\u0131yor. Antolojik anlam \u00f6bekleri kurman\u0131n yeg\u00e2ne yolunu h\u00e2l\u00e2 akademyan\u0131n dar disipliner s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131 i\u00e7inde arayanlar\u0131m\u0131z var \u015f\u00fcphesiz. Ancak tarihin, geni\u015f insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n ortak tecr\u00fcbe havuzu olarak sosyalbilimsel analizin sadece ortak malzemesi de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda ortak zemini de olabilece\u011fini, hatta olmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini g\u00f6rmek ve teslim etmekten \u00fcrkmemeli.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">B\u00fct\u00fcn tarih, hatta genel olarak sosyalbilimsel pratik, giderek daha fazla \u201ctarihsel antropoloji\u201dye evrilirken, asl\u0131nda Osmanl\u0131 ve T\u00fcrkiye tarih\u00e7ili\u011fi bu genel e\u011filimin tamamen d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda durmuyor. Epeydir d\u00fcnya \u00f6l\u00e7e\u011findeki bu disiplinleraras\u0131 (hatta disiplinler\u00f6tesi) de\u011fi\u015fmeye h\u0131zla a\u00e7\u0131lmakta, ona eklemlenmekte. Di\u011fer yandan \u201cmakro\u201d evrenden ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 ilhamla \u201cmikro\u201d evrenini derinle\u015ftiriyor, her an ve her seferinde kendini yeniden kuruyor. Ayn\u0131 anda ve i\u00e7 i\u00e7e. Belki de diyalekti\u011fin do\u011fas\u0131 ba\u015fka t\u00fcrl\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc zaten m\u00fcmk\u00fcn k\u0131lm\u0131yor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00dcmit Kurt ile G\u00fcney \u00c7e\u011fin\u2019in elinizdeki derlemesi K\u0131yam ve K\u0131tal, bu ba\u011flamda T\u00fcrk\u00e7e literat\u00fcre anlaml\u0131 bir katk\u0131 niteli\u011finde. Bir yandan T\u00fcrkiye \u00f6rne\u011fine e\u011filiyor ama bunu yaparken de alabildi\u011fine geni\u015f bir \u00e7er\u00e7evede makro d\u00fcnyan\u0131n kimi temel tarihsel ger\u00e7eklerine ve parametrelerine a\u00e7\u0131l\u0131yor. O d\u00fcnyada bir k\u0131sm\u0131 kolonyal nitelikte olan d\u00f6nemin b\u00fcy\u00fck imparatorluklar\u0131 bir bak\u0131ma kendi hik\u00e2yeleriyle resmi ge\u00e7it yap\u0131yor. Ancak onlar\u0131n hik\u00e2yeleri bir noktada Osmanl\u0131\u2019n\u0131nkiyle \u00e7ak\u0131\u015farak i\u00e7 i\u00e7e ge\u00e7iyor. Ve tam da bu noktada, s\u0131n\u0131rboylar\u0131ndaki \u00e7at\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n do\u011fas\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlerken, kar\u015f\u0131m\u0131za Osmanl\u0131\u2019n\u0131n 19. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131na damgas\u0131n\u0131 vuran merkez\u00ee bir tema, etno-dinsel milliyet\u00e7ilik olgusu \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. Ama Kurt ve \u00c7e\u011fin\u2019in derlemesi, bu noktada hi\u00e7 de ezberlerimizdeki standart mecraya, kli\u015felere g\u00f6z\u00fc kapal\u0131 at\u0131lm\u0131yor. Her biri sosyalbilimlerin farkl\u0131 dallar\u0131 i\u00e7inden kaleme al\u0131nan metinlerin, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz literat\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc temsil dereceleri, a\u00e7\u0131klama \u00e7abalar\u0131 ve kavramsal \u00e7er\u00e7evelerinin devlet ve \u015fiddet tart\u0131\u015fmas\u0131na katk\u0131lar\u0131 bir yana, elinizdeki kitap bu zengin ve \u00e7e\u015fitli \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 bir arada sunmas\u0131yla ba\u015fl\u0131ba\u015f\u0131na \u00f6nemli ve anlaml\u0131 bir i\u015f yapm\u0131\u015f oluyor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">K\u0131yam ve K\u0131tal\u2019in anlam\u0131 ve katk\u0131s\u0131 bununla s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 de\u011fil. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n do\u011frudan Osmanl\u0131\/T\u00fcrkiye tarihsel prati\u011fine ayr\u0131lan b\u00f6l\u00fcmleri de en az di\u011fer k\u0131s\u0131m kadar \u00f6nemli. Her biri, ayr\u0131 ayr\u0131 bu kez T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki alternatif tarih\u00e7ilik ve sosyalbilimsel ara\u015ft\u0131rma kulvarlar\u0131n\u0131n i\u00e7inden ele ald\u0131klar\u0131 orijinal konular\u0131n\u0131 \u015fa\u015f\u0131rt\u0131c\u0131 bir a\u00e7\u0131kl\u0131kla (hatta yer yer hayli keskince) ve ele\u015ftirellikle, tabir caizse \u201cdipten tarayan\u201d, derinlere dalan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar.
