Kitap bitmesin isteriz. 1960\u2019larda Ermeniceden dilimize kazand\u0131r\u0131lan ve bug\u00fcnlerde Aras Yay\u0131nc\u0131l\u0131k taraf\u0131ndan yeniden bas\u0131lan Zaven Biberyan\u2019\u0131n \u2018Yaln\u0131zlar\u2019 isimli roman\u0131 ile \u2018Babam A\u015fkale\u2019ye Gitmedi\u2019yi yeni okudum ve uzun zaman sonra yeniden bir, hatta iki roman i\u00e7in \u201c\u00e7ok sard\u0131\u201d demenin hazz\u0131n\u0131 ya\u015fad\u0131m. Peki bana bu hazz\u0131 veren neydi?<br \/>\nDilinin g\u00fczelli\u011finden, kurgunun ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131ndan daha fazlas\u0131 oldu\u011funu hissediyordum. Roman\u0131 okurken bana bir \u015fey olmu\u015ftu. Bu insanlar\u0131 \u00e7ok i\u00e7eriden, \u00e7ok yak\u0131ndan tan\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131, anlad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131 hissediyordum. B\u00fct\u00fcn a\u00e7mazlar\u0131n\u0131, zaaflar\u0131n\u0131, iyiliklerini ve k\u00f6t\u00fcl\u00fcklerini, korkular\u0131n\u0131, kurnazl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 ve safl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131&#8230; \u0130\u00e7lerinde bana en uzak karakterle bile bir ba\u011f kurmu\u015ftum sanki. Yarg\u0131laman\u0131n yerini, \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmleme alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131 ama bu mekanik bir \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmleme de\u011fildi. Neden \u00f6yle davrand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 onaylamam gerekmiyordu ama anl\u0131yordum. S\u00f6zgelimi, bir Ermeni genci \u00f6ld\u00fcresiye d\u00f6ven delikanl\u0131y\u0131 bu su\u00e7a s\u00fcr\u00fckleyenin ne oldu\u011funu bana, \u00fcstelik de bir Ermeni yazar anlatm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Peki nas\u0131l olup da yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131 bunu? Bu sorunun yan\u0131t\u0131n\u0131 bulursam kilit a\u00e7\u0131lacakt\u0131 sanki. Size burada hi\u00e7bir pasajdan \u00f6rnek veremem, hi\u00e7bir c\u00fcmleyi analiz edemem, \u015fimdi s\u00f6yleyeceklerimi neyin bana s\u00f6yletti\u011fini a\u00e7\u0131klayamam ama bir okur olarak sezdi\u011fim \u015fu oldu; Zaven Biberyan da o genci yazarak anlam\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Romanc\u0131ya yazarken bir \u015fey olmu\u015ftu, o sayede okura da bir \u015fey oluyordu. Yazar masan\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131na otururken her \u015feyi \u00e7\u00f6zm\u00fc\u015f ve bitirmi\u015f de\u011fildi; insan\u0131 analiz etmi\u015f ve \u015fimdi bize anlatmak \u00fczere kalemi eline alm\u0131\u015f de\u011fildi. Ve bu ke\u015ffin ini\u015f \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015flar\u0131 metnin her sat\u0131r\u0131na \u00f6yle sinmi\u015fti ki, okurun, yazar\u0131n ge\u00e7ti\u011fi yollardan ge\u00e7memesi imk\u00e2ns\u0131zd\u0131. O Ermeni gencin d\u00f6v\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc sahnede, ba\u015frolde sand\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z ki\u015finin bile asl\u0131nda belirleyen de\u011fil belirlenen oldu\u011funu fark etmemizi sa\u011flayan da buydu. Biberyan da bunu yazarken fark etmi\u015fti sanki. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla yazar\u0131n da metni \u00fczerindeki \u201cbelirleyen\u201d konumu tart\u0131\u015fmal\u0131yd\u0131. Metin, Hasan Ali Topta\u015f\u2019\u0131n dedi\u011fi gibi yazardan ve hepimizden daha ak\u0131ll\u0131yd\u0131. Hatta daha sa\u011fduyuluydu. Yazar Ermenili\u011fini ya da T\u00fcrkl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc metnin \u201ctasar\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131\u201d yapmad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda, ortaya insan \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yordu. Anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 gereken insan. \u00d6yleyse Ermeni bir yazar\u0131n, cinayet i\u015fleyen T\u00fcrk genci anlamas\u0131, metnin \u00f6\u011frencisi olmay\u0131 en ba\u015ftan kabul\u00fcyle m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fc. Bu sayede insan\u0131n evrensel \u00f6z\u00fcne ili\u015fkin bir \u015feyler \u00e7\u0131kabiliyordu o metinden. Bizi saran, yakalayan, i\u00e7ine alan da o \u00f6z olmal\u0131yd\u0131. Cinayete s\u00fcr\u00fcklenen gencin, Ermeni olsun, T\u00fcrk olsun, hangi saiklerle davrand\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 fark etmemiz bizi o \u00f6zle bulu\u015fturuyordu. Kendimize ait \u00f6ze, en sakl\u0131 duygular\u0131m\u0131za da oradan ula\u015f\u0131yorduk.<br \/>\nZaven Biberyan\u2019\u0131n yeniden yay\u0131mlanan \u2018Yaln\u0131zlar\u2019 roman\u0131 \u0130stanbul \u2019un Caddebostan semtinde, 1950\u2019lerde ge\u00e7en bir hik\u00e2ye. Ama sadece bu de\u011fil. Bizi bir mahallenin i\u00e7ine \u00e7ekerek insan\u0131n evrensel meselelerini g\u00f6steriyor Biberyan. Bunu da o semtin somut ger\u00e7ekli\u011fini t\u00fcm canl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla vererek ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftiriyor. Bir Ermeni, bir de T\u00fcrk ailenin hik\u00e2yesi etraf\u0131nda \u00f6r\u00fcyor roman\u0131. T\u00fcrk ailenin evlatl\u0131\u011f\u0131 G\u00fclg\u00fcn\u2019\u00fcn zengin olma, s\u0131n\u0131f atlama, hizmet\u00e7ilikten kurtulma hayallerinin sonu i\u00e7imizi yak\u0131yor. G\u00fclg\u00fcn\u2019\u00fc o kadar iyi tan\u0131yoruz ki, yaln\u0131zca toplumsal ge\u00e7mi\u015fimizden bir portre de\u011fil o, h\u00e2l\u00e2 i\u00e7imizde olan kimi \u00f6zlemlerin aynas\u0131 ayn\u0131 zamanda. Ermeni gen\u00e7 ile T\u00fcrk k\u0131z\u0131n arkada\u015fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda duyulan k\u0131skan\u00e7l\u0131\u011f\u0131n, \u0131rk\u00e7\u0131 duygularla, namus s\u00f6ylemleriyle ve insana \u00f6zg\u00fc h\u0131rslarla bulu\u015funca nas\u0131l bir felaketle sonu\u00e7land\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcyoruz.<br \/>\nBiberyan, \u2018Yaln\u0131zlar\u2019da tek tek her karakterin zihninin i\u00e7inde gezinen bir anlat\u0131c\u0131 sesi se\u00e7mi\u015f. \u2018Babam A\u015fkale\u2019ye Gitmedi\u2019de ise Baret isimli karakterin bak\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan bir ailenin \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fc ve bu \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fc\u015f i\u00e7inde Baret\u2019in kendi yolunu bulma \u00e7abas\u0131n\u0131 okuyoruz. Bu anlat\u0131m bi\u00e7imi ku\u015fkusuz roman karakterlerinin ruhunun dehlizlerinde gezinmemizde bize yard\u0131mc\u0131 oluyor. Ancak, yaz\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda s\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fc etti\u011fim, insan\u0131 anlama ve anlatman\u0131n t\u00fcrl\u00fc bi\u00e7imleri olabilir. Roman\u0131n i\u00e7inde \u201cinsan\u0131n evrensel \u00f6z\u00fcne\u201d ili\u015fkin ger\u00e7ekler olmas\u0131, roman\u0131n \u00f6znesinin illa ki insan olmas\u0131n\u0131 bile gerektirmiyor. Bazen bir b\u00f6ce\u011fi, bir e\u015fyay\u0131 anlat\u0131rken de biz o \u00f6ze ili\u015fkin \u015feylerle kar\u015f\u0131la\u015fabiliyoruz. Biberyan, daha sonra buldu\u011fu i\u015flerden de bask\u0131lar sonucu ayr\u0131lmak zorunda kald\u0131. 1949\u2019da \u00fclkeyi terk ederek Beyrut\u2019a yerle\u015fti. 1953\u2019te \u0130stanbul \u2019a d\u00f6nd\u00fc. 1968 yerel se\u00e7imlerinde T\u00fcrkiye \u0130\u015f\u00e7i Partisi \u2019nden, \u0130stanbul Belediye Meclisi \u00fcyeli\u011fine se\u00e7ildi ve meclis ba\u015fkan yard\u0131mc\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 yapt\u0131. Biberyan, 4 Ekim 1984\u2019te \u00fclser hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131na yakalanarak ya\u015fama veda etti. Yazar varl\u0131k vergisi ma\u011fdurlar\u0131ndand\u0131r.
